MARCH 17th 2012

Standard

Irish today . . .March 17th.  We all wear green and drink green and eat green . . .Because the shamrock is green? Or because they tell us to. The shamrock is the national emblem of Ireland and used to explain the Christian doctrine of the Trinity to the Irish people. WHY?

Because the shamrock’s plant leaves are divided into three lobes. [I have one with 4 lobes], they say this is lucky.  We will see just how lucky this 4 leafed shamrock is, i will take mine to the bingo hall . . .

Then they have green day which has nothing to do with today.

Today thousands of people everywhere will celebrate this day, March 17th, 2012 . . .As they do every year. They call this day Saint Patrick‘s Day. And over in Ireland this is their national holiday, the feast of St. Patrick. He was the patron saint of Ireland.  So now and forever Irishmenno matter where they may be . . .Drink to this name, wearing green, as it is the color for Ireland.

Drink and fall down and drink some more.  They even fashioned GREEN BEER and ZILLIONS of other green things.  unbelievable, this started way back in 1737 . . .Were they’re even people back then? Ape men . . .Just joking . . .After all this is THEDOGHOUSE and i can say what i want as long as it hurts no one.   And anyone still  living from 1737  i am sorry if i said ape-men. To make it up to ou i will dress in green and eat spinach in my eggs, and drink something green, kool-aid, or something there like that.    Happy  St. Patrick’s day to you all.

Besides these people way back in 1737 were a small group of merchants from Boston?  It was they who organized this society to do good things of all kinds on this day to honor this saint Patrick.  Just check out Fifth avenue in NEW YORK City and see what happens.  Me i don’t care as long as anyone else does,  it is all good. Yes i’m Irish,  and if there is anything to practice, it will not be me doing it.   Happy day all you GREEN drinking people.
